Waverly Hall was founded in 1829 and looking through the dates on the headstones, the oldest seems to be 1832, three years after the town was originally founded. This cemetery is a hotspot for ghostly activity. EVP'S are constant. The ghost seem almost anxious to communicate.

:UPDATE: Due to vandals, this cemetery is now posted.

Due to a computer crash, we lost  a lot of evidence for this case, but we do have the evps.
Activity Overview

The town of Waverly Hall was founded in 1829. This is a very active old cemetery with cold spots, EMF Spikes, And very active for EVPs, experienced by researchers during past investigations.  This cemetery is a hotspot for ghostly activity.

Waverly Hall Cemetery Ga.: Feb. 26, 2005 Initial Investigation. Investigation Team:
Holly & Charles
Note: This cemetery is posted. Do not trespass. Always get
permission first.

Two members of the Southern Ghost Hunter
s team spent some time in Waverly Hall Cemetery on Feb 26th, 2005 doing the first initial investigation. The weather was a little overcast, but a nice day and night. The temperature was in the 50s and there was no breeze.

Waverly Hall was founded in 1829 (as it was confirmed for us in a recording) and looking through the dates on the headstones, the oldest seems to be 1835, six years after the town was originally founded. This cemetery is a hotspot for ghostly activity and is defiantly one we
re going to investigate further. EVPS are constant. The ghost seem almost anxious to communicate. I had read reports from other investigators that some of the ghost in the old cemetery werent very friendly, but I suppose we caught them on a good night, either that, or they thought our team was very funny. On three separate occasions, we caught EVPs of laughter.

We started our investigation at dusk. We wanted to check out the markers to see what the dates were. During this time, the only equipment we had with us was the recorder and it was set to voice activated and high sensitivity. One of the team members remarked that the town was founded in 1829 and when we checked the tape later, we heard a woman
s voice saying, 1823 disagreeing with what he had said.

There
s a small rise in the cemetery with a group of graves, and while investigating those graves, I started freezing, so much so, that I was shivering, and was told later that I went pale. It seems the activity on that small rise was very high, and I have to admit, the feeling I was experiencing shook me up a bit. I looked at the trees to make sure there was no breeze blowing; the trees were perfectly still.

We moved off the rise and continued noting the dates. One grave was of a three-year-old child and after we passed, we caught a child's voice on tape. Located in the cemetery is a plot surrounded by a fence with no headstones to mark the bricked over graves, which I've never seen before. A team member remarks on that fact and said maybe there was a sign on the door (meaning the gate) and I said, "no" then I said, "there's some very old graves out here." On tape we received this whispered response, "Harry." I believe that perhaps he was trying to tell us whose grave was unmarked. I plan to do some extra investigating on this unmarked plot of land.

Later that night, we went back to the cemetery to do our investigation. We decided to leave the recorders in one spot and just let the ghost get used to us being there. The only problem we had was that for some reason the traffic was very heavy that night so it kept setting off the recorder. That, and the barking dogs around the cemetery. The EVPS stayed constant, and most of the ghost seemed to be enjoying our conversations, as they laughed several times. We also got several photo
s of orbs, which I dont put too much stock in, but we did capture unexplained light anomalies on a couple photos that have real possibilities.

Being as the traffic was so high, we decided to make it an early night, but we will go back to Waverly Hall Cemetery to investigate further and find out if one of the graves in the unmarked plot belongs to Harry.
Case # 011 Waverly Hall Cemetery, Georgia

Notes:
Holly sensed something on the small rise. She went pale and felt very cold, enough so she was shivering.

:UPDATE: Continued Investigation:
Due to vandals, this cemetery is now posted, but we did gain permission to investigate.  We captured a few orb photos.. We also caught one moving orb on video during this investigation.  We did record a few evps, and several of the investigators had their own experiences. Three team members saw a shadow move quickly through the cemetery.  We hope to return for another follow-up hunt at a later date.
