Case #  044 Residential -Valdosta, Ga.
Also on "Seeking the Haunted"
Our very first documentary in the series.
We've come a long way, since then.
This was one of the strangest cases we've ever worked on. And as the investigations continued, the mystery started to unravel.

Claims from clients include: Doors shutting and locking on their own, things disappearing and reappearing later, stereos coming on with no assistance,  radios going off with odd sounds, being pushed down the stairs, these things are only a small sample of why the current homeowners called SGH for help.

The current owners moved in with the wife's step- mother when her health began failing. She later died in the home.

We were contacted by the husband and wife a year after the passing of her step-mother when they began experiencing many odd occurrences. Most of the things that occurred happened to the husband. He relayed to us that his wife's step-mother did not like him and wasn't shy about showing it.  Since her death, he felt as though he was constantly watched, felt a constant dread, and felt sure that it was his wife's step-mother who was causing him to feel this way.

For reasons unknown to us at the time, the current home owners had not touched the room she had died in. A glass still filled with liquid, her pills, a ashtray of cigarette butts, and a food tray which still contained the remnants of her last meal, were all still in the room left untouched.

We were told that the step-mother was extremely paranoid ; she had to have all windows and doors shut and locked and curtains drawn. Also, she did not like people in her house. We noticed that there were mirrors all over the house, each room of the house contained several in different locations. The current homeowner explained to us that she could lay in her bed and look into the mirror in front of her, see the mirror behind her, which reflected the mirrors in other rooms of the house, so she could see where they were in the house and what they were doing.  We checked this out for ourselves and discovered that from her position in her bed, she could see into every other room in the house.
This was one of our earlier cases, and the first investigation documentary for Seeking the Haunted, we ever attempted to do. Because of the sensitive nature of this case,  even though we had full permission to film the owners, we've decided to rework the original case documentary and hide the faces of the homeowners. An updated version of the Otter Creek Documentary has now been posted.
When the Director and co-Director went to do the initial interview, we ran audio and during the review of the data we found several evp's, all telling us to, "Get Out." It seems we were not wanted in that house.
This case has been resolved and is now closed
