June 3, 1983 is day I will never forget b/c that is the day my world and life changed forever. I was extremely close to my grandpa; everywhere he went I went, our clothes and haircuts were always the same, but he died May 31, 1983 and I was crushed. I was always his lil buddy and now he was gone and I took it really bad. I wasn't sleeping and barely eating.
Then on June 3 I was driving up with my cousin to my grandpa's house(where he died on the swing that he use to swing me to sleep on) and I saw him sitting on the swing waving as we pulled up like he always did! I jumped out the car and ran to the swing knowing he was there, but when I got there he was gone. The swing was still moving but there was no wind. From that day on, I knew I had a gift and that I could feel, sense, and at times see things. But being that young, who could you go to? So I kept it locked up and tried to bury it. My mother died in Feb. 23 2004, and just like my grandpa, she was my life and with her gone I was empty so I turned to the only thing I had left and that was my gift.
I started with a group out of Griffin, Ga in 2006 and I was with them for a few months and I learned a lot. Then Oct. 2006 I went to the Agrirama. for a ghost tour hosted by the Southern Ghost Hunters, and oh boy what a night it was! I was honored when I joined SGH and became a full time member and I will never leave. SGH isn't just a group of people that hunt ghost, it's a family that's built on trust, love, and support. We all lean on each other for different reasons, and each one of us has our own little gift and skill, and that's what makes us so strong, not only as a group but as a family. The SGH family doesn't consist of just its members, it contains our friends, families, and all of our web friends, and we are here to help in anyway we can. So that is my story and how I got to where I am.
