We are beginning a new venture. Soon, there will be other chapters of SGH. We as a team have discussed this before, and now the time seems right to move forward with our plans. Each new chapter will follow the strict SGH Guidelines, and will uphold the highest regard for their clients and the paranormal field.

Building that new Guest Room for a Ghost?

We receive many request for investigations from people living in older homes who are suddenly experiencing what is believed to be paranormal activity. More often then not, we discover that the sudden activity is due to remodeling.

It has been our experience, and that of many other investigators through the years, that paranormal activity will occur or increase in places going through changes, such as remodeling or adding on to the structure. Houses that were never reported haunted can suddenly erupt with activity and scare the owners or make them think they've lost their minds.

Accounts of activity in cases such as these can range from almost destructive behavior to simple curiosity. Such as throwing objects, moving things from one space to another, to seeing an apparition peering around a corner to observe what you're doing within their space.

It's all pretty easy to understand if you think about how you'd feel if strangers moved into your home where you've put your life into its upkeep, shared family ties, and started changing it. We're all protective of our own homes, I'd be curious, or perhaps, even furious, too.

So, if you are changing things in your home, tearing down walls, or building walls for that guest room and begin to feel strongly as if you are being spied upon... you might be. So go ahead and get out the extra set of bed linens and prepare that new guest room for your extra ghostly guest.

New Ga. Agrirama Documentary in the Works

Southern Ghost Hunters along with SGH Productions is once again in the process of investigating buildings at the Ga. Agrirama and filming the investigations as a part of a new documentary. The Ga. Agrirama is a state run facility, a living history museum with authentic 1800's homes and businesses on about 90 acres. SGH is the only group that the state will allow to come in an investigate and we are honored to be able to.

The History & Hauntings Ghost Tours which was started and ran by Southern Ghost Hunters for two seasons will be continuing with a new guide. SGH has clients to help, and they come first, so we are no longer able to lead the tours. SGH is still supplying evidence caught & experiences for the short movie that proceeds the ghost tour.

We'll keep you up-to-date with the process.

Trying out some new light sources

We're going to be trying out and testing some new light sources. We're hoping it will help in a couple different ways. One to help light things better for the documentaries we do, and 2nd to help with the lighting in potential evidence.

Overlapping Dimensions?

The recent episode of Taps got me to thinking again about something that's always been in the back of my mind. On the last episode they captured an amazing evp.
The evp is clear, and it's almost like the spirit is living her normal everyday life, and TAPS are the ghosts!

First the spirit says, "Hello, is someone there?" after Jason and Grant entered the room and speak.

Then when Jason says, " Princess, can you let us know you're in here."

The response was, "Of course I'm in here, where are you?"

That response leads me to believe that just like they couldn't see her, she couldn't see them either. Two different dimensions that are overlapping somehow? But what about the spirits people have encountered who seem to look right at you, and sometimes flee /vanish when seen? If this person, the princess, was indeed a person who lived and died at one time and is in spirit form and still living in that room, using that bed, is she still living in her past, and the members of Taps were the ghost to her?

Did that evp make you think along the same lines as I have?

We were having problems with the way Internet Explorer was handing the old design, so I decided to quit trying to fix the old one and come up with a new design. Evp Chills

It's been a very long time since I've heard any evp that sent chills down my spine, but I just listened to one that did just that. It's from a recent case we're working on. It's simple in what it says... but it's what it says... "Holly"

During the case, I kept having an experience of seeing smoke billowing toward me... Think of someone puffing on a cigar and blowing it in your face. It got so bad at one point that I was actually trying to wave it away with my hand.

All within a short period of time, I saw a large pulse of light next to me, then my EMF spike, a shadow was seen on the monitor in the same area. I asked if someone had entered the room with us, then the smoke I had seen earlier appeared again and I became very uncomfortable, and now the evp. So far, everything is matching up.

Finding a new home for our documentaries

Well, the site where we had our documentaries in order to give you fast streaming, and a nice clear picture has closed down. So we are in the process of finding a new site that can give us close to the same thing. Hopefully we'll have them all back online soon.

We've been investigating a very old cemetery that has many reported hauntings, and I have to admit, it's one of the creepiest places we've ever investigated. The cemetery has a great story behind it and from our times out there and the things that have happened so far, we've decided to include a documentary about it in the Seeking the Haunted series. We'll let you know when everything is in the works.

We've finished our 2nd investigation at the Ashley/Slater House and are in the process of going through all the evidence and creating the documentary. The investigation proved to be quite interesting and we've got some good footage.

Ashley Slater House Investigation Planned

The following is the information found on Shadowlands. The information listed is not completely correct.

<i>The Ashley Slater House - As the years passed years ago about six people died in the house. It is said that the grandmother died from a disease and the mother died from giving birth to her second son. Later on the father hung himself in the attic. A little while after that both of the children died from a disease. And someone else who moved in died also. If you go into the house it is very cold and it feels like someone is pressing down on your shoulders. And every 4 months you can see all of their spirits in the house.</i>

The Southern Ghost Hunters have been invited to do an investigation at the Ashley Slater House. We will be conducting the investigation the first week of April.

The house was built in 1912 and is quite beautiful. After interviewing the persons associated with the Ashley Slater House, I learned that the information listed on the Shadowlands website is not completely correct. 4 persons died in the house that they know of, not 6 as was stated. 1 child, and 3 adults (the 2nd husband of Ava Ashley/ Slater did hang himself in the attic stairwell)

The history behind the house is interesting as well as the possible ghostly activity, and we look forward to entering this historical house after dark.

We will put the video of the investigation online when it is completed, so stay tuned for further developments.

Computer Demon Strikes!

Recently, One of the SGH computers crashed and we lost a lot of stuff. Normal backups are made regularly, but this time, we were running behind and a backup was not made in too long of a time. One of the most disappointing things lost were the Jones St. Case movies. Luckily, we had the evps and a couple pictures already online. But now we move onward,.

Jones St. House -Private Residence -(Fictious Name )

The Jones St. Case is a paranormal investigators dream and nightmare, all at the same time. In a 100-year-old house that has recently been remodeled, there is more then just the occasional bump in the night. Apparitions of two different male figures have been seen by both the team members, the homeowner, and the homeowners relatives. EVP's are abundant, objects get moved, and on occasion, this has happened right in front of the homeowner.

Doors open, door handles rattle, and there are banging's and scratching's happening in different areas of the house, keeping the owner awake during the night. Shadows have been seen moving throughout the house quite frequently, and there have been large temperature drops, and anomalous EMF readings.

Even our team members, who are seasoned veterans, have a hard time keeping up with all the activity, and keeping their wits about them. This is an ongoing case, so keep checking back with us to find out more.

Update: The residents of this home moved out. The house was occupied once again, but the new residents moved out within two-weeks. The house is now being relocated.
